R U SERIOUS, SQUEENIX?!!?

I have only one thing to say to Square-Enix...

http://www.relatably.com/m/img/i-hate-you-memes/90874356f6402c492d8dabd90c3d25481f8c5b2b9abd5960d88187e4f92e8b93.jpg

They do not know the PAIN I had to go through to get the Birth by Sleep Final Mix platinum. X(

But in all seriousness, when I got the announcement that Square-Enix would be remastering the entire Kingdom Hearts series on PS4, I was not surprised. To be honest, I had wanted a full collection myself, and if I wasn't having trouble platinuming the games on PS3, I would gladly go for this. I've survived what many consider the hardest Kingdom Hearts plat, so I can do it again on HD.

A few things I'd like to see fixed - I might spam Square-Enix's forums to ensure they are hearing this:
  1. Fix the difficulty trophies in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Re:Chain of Memories so they stack. You allow people to get away with platinuming the 2.5 games(KH2 and BBS Final Mix) by completing Critical Mode, please please PLS let us get all the difficulty trophies by just completing Proud Mode on the 1.5 games! It gets dull to do the exact same motions THRICE (and Riku AND Sora mode THRICE on Re:Chain on Memories!) just to get all the trophies.
  2. Please make Ice Cream Beat tolerable. I am not saying you should hold our hand through the entire Master Mode set, but make the hit boxes a little more reasonable. I have bitten my arm multiple times(yes, I do bite my arm when I am very angry) after failing to get Fantastic on Dessert Paradise just because I have poor hand-eye coordination. :(
  3. In retrospect, you showed off gameplay on 358/2 Days and Re:coded. As much as I don't believe it'll ever happen, I'd love to see remasters of the full games of those two titles. I know that would mean that the supposed fan remake of 358/2 Days will have to be shut down, but it would show Square-Enix that, despite those two games getting low sales, there are some people (like me) who enjoyed playing them.
All in all, here is hoping for the best.

Sorry for the lack of updates...

Sorry if I haven't been updating much - not much is happening until KH2.8 comes out this January. But if you want to go find KH news, go check out TheGamersJoint on Youtube, Cynical is a New Zealand native whose Aussie voice is hilarious when you watch his rage videos. ^_^

Anyways...

New certificate for my KH event! Congrats Samis-86 for getting all the plats!

My first Platinum!

Image result for kingdom hearts birth by sleep 0.2
Aqua: "I am so glad this is over with... now to wait until 2017 to get rescued by Sora..."

Last night, I had the greatest struggle but I got through it... sadly, the records of it are lost due to my stupid Samsung refusing to e-mail me the photos I took. But...

After hours of grinding with Terra and Ventus...

And many many deaths against final bosses, and getting wiped out by a stinking Hareraiser in Castle of Dreams with Aqua in Critical Mode before getting strong enough to get revenge...

I have it at last! My first Kingdom Hearts platinum as #35! ^_^

I am going to take a week off to recover before heading to my next challenge...

The dread Gummi Missions of KHFM! :(

Not much to say, just wanted to put this out. I am so glad I am done with Birth by Sleep forever. It's a great story, a great game, but my gawd, those secret bosses were insane and Critical Mode was no joke either. And this is the easiest of the Kingdom Hearts to go through Critical Mode! The others won't give you Second Chance and Leaf Bracer so early, so there will be grinding.

Almost to my first KH Plat!

So I finally did it...

I whipped the super-bosses into submission with Terra and Aqua, earning the 100% Journal trophy for the remaining two heroes at long last. I had Aqua's be last as a sort of tribute to the BBS 0.2 coming up in KH2.8, which got delayed. (But I thinked I ranted about that in the last post.)

So now all I have to do is get Collector and Critical Competitor, so I deleted all my 100% saves so I could have a a clean slate and start working on Critical Mode. Wish me luck!

Sad news, a KH got delayed

I got this off a site, so please forgive me in advance
Thanks to the other Square-Enix juggernaut, Final Fantasy, getting hit with the Delay Curse and falling back to the nadir of November, everyone and their mum is working on FFXV so that means that all other projects are on hold until that game comes out, so Kingdom Hearts 2.8 got hit with the Delay Curse as well, the horrors!

So now, instead of being released on my birthday month, December, KH2.8 will be released in January the next year. The Mother Country(Japan) gets it earlier than us by 12 days. We get it on the 24th. This really grinds a lot of gears because of the hype.

On the other hand, the TGS trailer was the best, showing off a lot of gameplay for 0.2 and a lot more of the realistic cutscenes in 0.2, the glorious HD graphics of the Dream Drop Distance remake(compare the original to fuzzy glasses) and some more cutscenes on Kingdom Hearts Chi, Back Cover, showing the crumbling of the Foretellers leading to the dreaded Keyblade War. :)

If anyone wants to comment below on the delay, feel free to.

Birth By Sleep Platinum on Hiatus

Right now I am pretty busy with other things and I have gotten frustrated with Terra's lack of dodging skills to avoid dying to that wretched death attack of Mysterious Figure, so I'm putting Birth by Sleep on hiatus for a while while I work on my Platinum Rain Day games. I'll still work on the KH games but I doubt I can get any platinums from them before 2.8 comes out. :(

Anyways, here's a picture of a Touhou crossover game screenie I capped. ^_^

Time for an A-Game!

So with blahblahLPs doing three-hour plus live streams of the Kingdom Hearts games until 2.8 drops, I decided this was the time to pull up my britches and get to work on those Platinums I have been working with on and off. So I will be platinuming each game a month in this order:

August: Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix (69% - 10 trophies to go)
Unfinished Business: Getting all of the reports for each character 100%, then doing Critical Mode

September: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (53% - 20 trophies to go)
Unfinished Business: Completing my Standard and Proud runs as well as 100% Journal on Beginner

October: Kingdom Hearts re: Chain of Memories (45% - 21 trophies to go)
Unfinished Business: In the middle of my first Riku run now

November: Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (52% - 16 trophies to go)
Unfinished Business: Getting 100% Journal in Beginner Mode and working on Critical Mode

Let's hope this works out. I have 48% or more on each game so I should be able to get it done.

Why Hate on Atlantica? (KH Rant)

I decided to put this post down because I would have bored you with my details of beating Kingdom Hearts Final Mix on Beginner and beating the Hades Cup, so here's my first Kingdom Hearts rant:

Why Does Everyone Hate Atlantica?!?

Ariel is about to commit suicide because she wasn't a popular Disney Princess in the Kingdom Hearts games.

Or perhaps the header could be "Am I the only human being in the Universe who DOESN'T hate visiting Atlantica in Kingdom Hearts and wish that they could do it again in KH3?":(

Okay, before you tar and feather me for being a gooseberry, let me state a few things: I didn't like the Little Mermaid movie at all. When I had to watch it during one of my high school classes as everyone wanted to watch it, I sort of buried my face in my arms so I didn't have to see what was on the screen.

I apologize for using this pic - I know it belongs on a video thumbnail but it fit the whole rant

But why the hatred for it in Kingdom Hearts? I'm not talking about the time you visit in KH2 - My hatred for Ice Cream Beat in BBSFM shows that not a lot of people love rhythm-based mini games, although I still enjoyed the songs in KH2 Atlantica and did them much better than Ice Cream Beat.

We won't discuss KH2 Atlantica as it wasn't really a world to explore, more like a series of mini-games like Ice Cream Beat revolving around the story of the Little Mermaid film(which I stated I didn't like, although now that I had to endure the songs, I really enjoy them).

Let's talk about the fuel that fired the flames... KH1 Atlantica.

This is what everyone hated - the whole movement and combat system - you were one a 2D plane and could only move with jetplane controls - up, down, forward and rotate. Combat was very clunky; you couldn't do any Summons(they'd drown underwater ;P) and you were forced to resort to burning magic to do any damage unless you enjoyed swimming about and flailing with your Keyblade!

I admit that was a poor way to do underwater controls...but to paraphrase Saix: Do you hate it? Well...

Direct your hatred towards KH2 Agrabah's ruins! Yep, they didn't learn their lessons and used the EXACT SAME CONTROLS in the second part of Agrabah in KH2!!!

True, you could use Limit Form and all that, but other than that it's the same situation.

I think the reason that Nomura decided to make Atlantica a non-combat world like 100-Acre Wood was because it would be a hassle to translate the battle system to that world and he had a story going already(although he never explained how Ursula came back to life; did Maleficent revive her like she did Oogie?) and Drive Forms would be a problem to deal with underwater.

It's true that The Little Mermaid lost out on a lot(from this fan art we could have seen what would have been if Ariel had been a Princess of Heart - I didn't realize there were a lot more characters in the movie that just the original ones) and with KH3 focusing on modern CGI movies now(the worlds revealed are from CGI-animated movies, Tangled and Big Hero 6) so the chances of having classic Disney are slim(though I wouldn't put it past them to render a few), but enough with the hate.

You can ban me if you want, I don't care. It will prove that I am the only living human being who enjoyed being in Ariel's underwater world in Kingdom Hearts... even if farming for those damn Frost Gems was so annoying! :p

It was ALMOST a platinum...

I was digging around in my old accounts and remembered I had this. Yep, my very first trophy account (which uses my actual e-mail - my current trophy account uses another mail server) had me ALMOST get the platinum on this bad boy... the only trophy I missed was the one where you have to get every Gummi Blueprint, which means you have to do all the bad-ass Gummi Missions.

This inspires me to platinum all of the Kingdom Hearts games. Others have done it, why not me?

Dropping Dreams (KH2.8 Hype)

So I infected the ears of my parents with a little reminder that KH2.8 is coming out around Christmas and they MIGHT preorder it. 6_^

Anyways, what are your thoughts about this compilation. Me, I am glad to see Dream Drop Distance get remade into HD. I know it'll take a lot of fancy footwork to make it work on the PS4 when half of the stuff utilized the 3DS touch screen, but it's all good. Hopefully blahblahLPs will get started on uploading his re:coded Let's Play since the date is now announced. ;)

RECENT EDIT: One, it's confirmed that 2.8 will be coming early December so I might get it for my birthday instead! (I actually learned that a New Zealand dealer had it set for my exact birth day, December 6! ^_^) Two, blahblah isn't confirming a LP of re:coded but is doing a Road to Kingdom Hearts 3 live stream series on his "Runaway Guys" group channel, Goof Group, where he plays through all the KH games on live stream once a week so chances are the LP will be a live stream of the game instead.

New Format! The Chi is High! (Introduction Post)

I needed to find a place to put Kingdom Hearts stuff since I didn't want to stuff my PS platinum blogs with them, so...

Enough said. ^_^

Yep, I'm hooked on the new mobile game Kingdom Hearts Unchained X. Considering that it's part of the timeline(basically detailing the Keyblade Wars) I need to complete it. It's like an MMO, but not really - you download the game for free and can play it even if you aren't connected to the Internet.

The idea is to quest and upgrade the Keyblades you are given(starting with Starlight, a well-balanced blade) to get stronger. Let me warn you - enemies get really really tough and you will die a lot, but you can pay jewels to revive yourself. You basically get up to five attacks depending on how much you've upgraded your Keyblade(six with a friend medal you have to choose at the beginning of each quest) and collect Lux to level up.

However, you spend AP to go on quests and if you run out you either to pay jewels to refill your AP or you cannot go on quests - and later quests cost more and more AP. If you die(and you will die) on a quest(dying on the raid bosses will just set you back a bit) and don't have enough jewels to revive, you have to cancel the quest and you lose everything you collect - materials for upgrading your Keyblades and lux, which is your EXP. (AP can slowly regenerate over time but it takes hours to get back to full; you can also refill your AP fully by gaining a level.)

When you start the game, you join one of five unions headed by one of five mysterious masked figures called the Foretellers. I joined the Aginius union(because its symbol is a cobra and I love snakes) and got through a bunch of quests.

Your Keyblade is only as strong as the "medals" you put in them which depict various characters from the Kingdom Hearts series, so expect a lot of Sora, Riku and Disney characters on your medals. These medals can be pulled from booster packs which are bought in the game shop and you level up your medals by giving other medals to it, and then you can evolve those medals with special medals which are usually dropped by Raid Bosses, which are one of several recurring giant Heartless like the Behemoth from KH1, Darkside, Guard Armor or Trickmaster.

Yep, the only enemy you'll fight in this game are tons and tons of Heartless. Many are recurring faces but a few are exclusive to this game, like the Bag-O-Coal, the Gummi Copters, and the Nosy Moles which look like red-nosed clowns.

The quests start in Daybreak Town, the hub world(your character can wander around the fountain square if not on a quest) but they visit the Dwarf Woodlands(from Birth by Sleep), Wonderland(from the original KH) and Agrabah and, much later, Olympus Coliseum, which is going to be tough.

Anyways, I've gone on long enough, but if you want to know more about this game, check out this site which is where you can download the game. Enjoy! ^_^
